Dear Students,
Welcome to Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts, the Commonwealth's public liberal arts college. I am honored to write to you as MCLA's president, and glad you've chosen to make this campus your home.

 North Adams is a small city that is big on creativity. Mountains and trails on one side, galleries and live music on the other, and all of it becomes part of your education here.

At MCLA, our classes are small enough that your professors will know your name and your goals. The research, internships, service work, and study abroad you'll do here are central to how you will learn.

We've grown a lot recently. New majors in Health Science, Nursing, Radiologic Technology, and Music Industry and Production. More Early College and Dual Enrollment options. New ice hockey and lacrosse programs, plus a new fitness and athletic training center. For ten years running, we've ranked in the top 10 among public liberal arts colleges nationally, and we're recognized as a top performer for social mobility.

We strive for every student to feel welcome here. Our community reflects the diversity of the world you'll go on to live and work in.
