Students may apply for academic forgiveness under the following provisions:

1. Students qualify for academic forgiveness after a minimum 4-year absence from MCLA.
2. Students may request academic forgiveness once.
3. Students must submit an application and essay that states their case for academic forgiveness to Academic Affairs.
4. Only grades received prior to re-enrollment qualify for grade forgiveness.
5. If approved, all grades remain on the transcript. Grades of "D+" and below are excluded from the GPA and will not be counted in credits toward graduation, including core, major, and minor requirements.
6. Once granted, it is irrevocable.
